Common Installation Methods of Vane Pump

 

 

Tripod Mounted
The pump body is installed and secured on a special foot rest using screws, and the foot rest is bolted to the machine’s base plate. In this configuration, the pump shaft is connected to the original motor via an elastic coupling or other transmission components. This method reduces requirements for installation accuracy, but it occupies a relatively large floor space.

 

Flange Mounted
This installation method is compact and space-saving. However, it requires high machining accuracy, including the concentricity of the machine’s upper lip relative to the main shaft and the shaft core hole, as well as the perpendicularity of the flange end face. These tolerances are necessary to ensure proper alignment between the pump shaft and the machine’s transmission shaft.

 

Baseplate Mounted
In this method, the pump’s inlet and outlet are located on the bottom surface of the pump body. The bottom surface is attached to a dedicated base plate with screws, and the base plate is bolted to the installation surface. Threaded connections on the base plate allow direct attachment of oil inlet and outlet pipes, or connection to a block in an integrated or stacked hydraulic system. This method simplifies installation on oil tank covers or integrated hydraulic systems and reduces the length of connecting pipelines.
